Pastry Chef Ramesh Bikram Ban, Kathmandu Marriott Hotel

Ramesh Ban, pastry chef from Nepal, was born in Eastern part of Nepal, Ramechhap district, khimti VDC.  Ramesh began his career as an apprentice. When he was 20 years old, At KGH groups of Hotels. After getting professional experience in KGH hotels & Grand hotel in Kathmandu, Ramesh Ban choose to leave the country and explore new horizons. So, moved to KSA in 2010. After moving ahead continuously he took a challenge to explore to the depth in patisseries including Kuwait, Qatar, Maldives and Oman.

Throughout his career, he has worked international chain hotels such as Marriott International, Kempinski, Westin, Carlson Rezidor and franchise brands. He has worked with professional pastry chefs from different part of the globe France, Spain, Italy, Japan also chefs from the different part of Asia. Ramesh loves to learn and share information to achieve the highest levels of quality in terms of taste and visual creativity. He assist that Visual creativity in pastry making comes from gastronomy and that, in return pastry making in inspired by gastronomy’s constant search for new taste combinations.

His way of working to associate as much as always different (go out of the box) to bring new flavor & Visual creativity.   He loves what he do.

He has worked in kitchens of high repute such as at  Sheraton Deira Hotel, Dubai , Action Hospitality, Sharjah, UAE , The Royal Hotel, Dubai, City Seasons Hotel,UAE, Catering Solutions Trading, Muscat Oman & Dubai, UAE , Hotel Heritage, Bhaktapur. Bakery and Pastry making are his two major domains of interest.
